Chris graduated from Monash University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science.
In 1983 he joined W.Carew & Co to form W.Carew Tucker & Co which later became Tuckers Lawyers. The emphasis of the practice moved from property law with many active property developers as its clientele to a broad commercial practice. A close association with Dominic Alafaci from Collins House Financial Services was developed until in 2002, Tuckers Lawyers changed its name to Collins House Legal when Chris joined with Collins House Financial Services to form the Collins House Group.
In 2009, the Collins House Group merged with the Lachlan Partners Group and Collins House Legal changed its name to Lachlan Partners Legal. In 2013, when Lachlan Partners Legal was acquired by SFG Australia Ltd, Chris decided to practice under his own identity, now Tucker Partners.
In the 32 years that Chris has practiced law he has had extensive experience in a wide range of legal matters including buying and selling businesses, employment law, conveyancing, leasing, corporate and trust structures, probate, wills, estate planning, dispute resolution and litigation. Chris has acted for the Australian Trade Commission in the Export Market Development Grants area; is the Solicitor for Swimming Victoria and has been a member and occasional Chairman of the Judiciary Committee and Disciplinary Tribunal for Australian Swimming and was a member of the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Selection Appeals Tribunal.
Chris was honoured as a life member of Swimming Victoria in recognition of his services to the sport and has extensive experience with the Australian Swimming Member Protection Policy which is designed to eliminate harassment and discrimination in the sport of swimming. Away from work, Chris actively participates in yacht racing and golf. He is married with three children.
